About the event
Register for the SRC radio exam after you have completed the online course and the pre-test.
After you have completed the online course and passed the pre-test , you can register directly for the theoretical and practical exam here.
👉 The exam always takes place after a course. The course usually ends at 4:00 PM – the exam begins afterwards. Duration: until approximately 8:00 PM (depending on the number of participants).
The exam is administered by an RYA-qualified examiner and includes:
a written multiple-choice test
a practical section on the VHF radio including DSC
👉 Please note:
The exam fee (approx. GBP 76) is paid directly to the RYA. Please use this payment link and bring the application form with you to the exam.
You need a passport photo for your official SRC certificate.
You must be at least 16 years old.
The exam is partly conducted in English - good school English is usually sufficient.
