SRC Certificate flexibly from home – RYA Interactive
Want to earn your SRC seafarer's radio certificate at your own pace and from the comfort of home? The RYA Interactive online course is the ideal choice for anyone who wants to learn flexibly – with no fixed course date in Vienna, Graz or Lower Austria.
All you need: a PC, Mac, iPad or Android tablet with a microphone and speakers/headset.
Who is the SRC online course for?
🌍 International sailors – who cannot travel to Austria
🕐 Flexible learners – who want to set their own pace
🇬🇧 English speakers – the course is entirely in English, so you should be comfortable with that
💻 Self-starters – who can study independently and in a structured way
🏠 People outside Vienna/Graz – who don't have a classroom course nearby
✓ Access to the RYA Interactive online training module, valid for 12 months
✓ Course materials: printed handbook or digital e-book (RYA VHF Handbook)
✓ Personal support from your RYA Assessor – response within 8 working hours
✓ Organisation of your personal exam appointment
✓ Flexible upgrade: switch to a 1-day or 2-day classroom course at any time (admin fee of €50 applies)
Not included: RYA exam fee (currently GBP 76), payable separately directly to the RYA.
Your SRC certificate
After passing the Pre-Exam Knowledge Check and the
personal final exam, you will receive your SRC certificate from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA): internationally recognised and valid for life.
Learn online—take the exam in person. You’ll study all the material flexibly from home—the final exam will then take place in person at our facility: using a real radio, under real-world conditions. This ensures you’re fully prepared for any emergency at sea.
